Anne...These pictures are amazing. Your work inspired me to chase my dream. I told you photography was my "hobby" and thanks to you, I am officially a student (again) working on my bachelors in Photography. Let me know if you need an intern. I get credit hours for it and it would be a joy to work with you and an honor to learn from you.

Wow! I just received a text from my best friend in the world, Holly Spring. The text read, "Hey when u get this look at what Anne just blogged.. I can't go back to sleep, I'm in tears over it".
This text might seem as if it would render a response such as, "who" or "what are you talking about?" However, my response was, "WHAT, Hold on." I immediately grabbed my laptop because we were literally talking about Anne, standing in Mason's room, less than 6 hours ago.
I too, was brought to tears. I wasn't fortunate enough to know Holly as a kid. I met her later in life. She lit up the room when she walked in. She is a quite a presence. I was manager of a franchise-tanning salon and offered her a job in sales immediately (which, for the record, says more about Holly than my instincts). I knew she would be a great business asset; what I really found was an amazing friend. She was younger than me, only in the technical sense and she still has to remind me of that when we talk about the “old days”. I bring up this “tanning salon” because, I was the “manager” and I got the “manager’s salary” when in reality WE ran that store. When I left, she actually became the manager (and now educates me on all things tanning).
Today, Holly is my son’s godmother. Not the kind of godmother that shows up at the christening and stands there as the Priest deems her the godmother; then goes home with a fancy title and calls on holidays. She is my inspiration to be a better mother. The thing is; my son, Trason, is autistic and when Holly learned of Trason’s diagnoses she spent her husband’s entire paycheck on books about Autism. She wanted to learn as much as she could about this disorder. I was so touched because, that is exactly what I did when I heard the diagnosis. She didn’t just wait for me to explain. She treated Trason as if it was her own child. Since that day, Holly has done so much for us. My son, whom a few short months ago struggled to put two words together, said to me today; “Holly wouldn’t give me a bath.” (Apparently, while Holly was keeping Trason, Madeline had an incident with a marker and there was an early emergency bath situation). For those of you that do not know much about Autism let me just say this is AMAZING!
I credit Holly for much of Trason’s progress, not because she taught him to say those words but because she inspired me to work with him twice as hard and she does the same when she is with him.
I could go on and on; Anne you did a great job describing the amazing woman Holly has become. She isn’t just a mom, she isn’t just a friend, everything she does, is above and beyond “Webster’s” definition of the term. It is all over the faces of her beautiful children and my son’s as well. I’m not surprised in the least that Holly inspires Anne or anyone she is around for more than five minutes. I’m just grateful I get to call her my best friend and her two amazing children hug me, kiss me, and tell me they love me when I see them.
Holly and I are actually working on a foundation for children with Autism as well as a blog/website for all things mom (that one is going to be Holly’s baby). I can’t imagine working with a better person. She has the potential to inspire the world and I know she will someday very soon.
